Welcome to the new SWL Fest site
We’ve been working for quite a while on a new version of the NASWA Winter SWL Fest web site, and we’re delighted to open it up to the public now. Much of the new functionality of the site is aimed at making it easier for the people who maintain the site to keep it up to date, but there are features for visitors as well. Probably the most important of these is the ability to pay for Fest registrations using PayPal. This is something that attendees have been requesting for a few years, and we’re very happy to be able to offer that now. We also have an interactive Google Map that you can use to get directions to the Fest location.

Nice to see that one can now use PayPal to pay the Registration Fee. What you forgot was to include the number and dollar amount for Raffle Tickets! Is there any way you can revise your form? Or should one just make a direct payment via the mail to CP?

Sorry can’t make it this yr. Was hopeing for the old radio shop tour this yr. but see it is not back. Shame. Was going to let swl’ers know about a great site to become hamsters. http://www.hamsphere.com ,check it out. Listen & talk on PC. One wk. free trial. $28.40 a yr. Talk & listen to hams all over the world. Don’t need a HAM ticket. Non hams get their own call signs. Regards 73 KJ4AAF / WDX4US Mike Stone

I would like to see some attention/sessions devoted to the listening to overseas stations via Wifi/web.

Al, I don’t believe we’ll have a session specifically dedicated to that, but I and many others there would be happy to share our experiences and suggestions with you. –Richard

Actually, Al, we will have a session on DX Tuners and that one might interest you a bit. It’s listening on shortwave via weblink to remote receivers often half a world away.
