February 21st
The following forum session has been cancelled due to illness of the presenter. It is hoped that it can be rescheduled for next year’s Fest. Apologies for any inconvenience.

2000 WiNRADiO: The Company and its SDRs - Background history of the company and a look at the progression of software defined radios, from early devices that we were told “will never work in a computer” to today’s leading edge devices which are winning awards world wide.
Tariq Hasnie (KF5CPU) joined WiNRADiO at its head office in Melbourne Australia 19 years ago and has held several key roles including Senior Product Manager. Tariq is now now based in Austin Texas as General Manager of the US office.”
February 8th
Reminder – today is the last day to reserve hotel rooms and get the special Fest $94 rate online.
As of tomorrow that link probably will not work, and you’ll need to call the hotel at 610-834-8300 and speak with Donna in Convention Services to get the special Fest $94 rate.
Also as of tomorrow the hotel can free up the block of rooms set aside for the Fest and sell those rooms to others – there’s a risk you could be shut out if the hotel sells out.
February 1st
As you may already know, we have already sold out our allotment of $94/night rooms for Wednesday. The hotel made a few rooms available at $145/night but there are only two of those left. Anything else for Wednesday would be at the hotel’s published rates.
There are still rooms available at the $94 rate for Thursday through Saturday nights.
You will need to contact the hotel directly (610-834-8300) to get the special Wednesday rate; ask specifically for Donna, Convention Services Manager. The rate is not available from the reservations office.
If your stay is just Thursday night through Saturday night, you can make those reservations online at the special SWL Fest reservations

January 31st
Tentative list of forum sessions has been posted here, along with an outline of the schedule for the weekend.
January 25th
If you are planning to arrive on Wednesday and haven’t yet reserved your hotel room…you’ll need to call the hotel directly and ask for the convention services manager, Donna. Do not ask for “reservations”.
We have totally booked our allotment of rooms for Wednesday evening at the $94 rate.
The hotel’s usual “best available” rate for the night is $189 (egad!), but the hotel will allot a few more rooms for the Fest for Wednesday evening at $145 per night. The remainder of the weekend is still available at the $94 rate, at least in non-smoking rooms (not sure about smoking rooms).
Call the hotel at 610-834-8300 to make the reservations – you will not get the lower rate either via the website or via the central reservations office.
